I think I mentioned in my last post that I joined an art battle group, and lo and behold, I drew something for it! Or well, to be more specific, I painted something.
The pencils were done by the incredible Marc Silvestri, inks were done by the very talented Joe Weems, and the flats were provided by Fernando Arguello. Everything else is my work. I kinda like it, so I figured I ought to share it to prove that I am, in fact, doing things.

Still working on it! See?
See? Totally being productive and stuff. Anyway, this is the tattoo from that previous update but with color. I did it first because I was in the mood to color flowers. Also, may as well mention this here, the tattoo on this character isn't a constant design element - she can change its shape at will, so it's rare that it's in exactly the same place or even depicting the same image twice. Sometimes she hides it altogether, but most of the time it's some kind of floral theme.
Um... yeah. Back to work then.

HOLY CRAP AN UPDATE
Yeah, so.... I'm not dead, I swear. And I've been drawing something! Look!
... okay, so it's just lineart right now but SHUT UP. It's the most productive I've been in weeks. I'll have this fleshed out later.
Incidentally, today I taped this up next to my computer. Batman compels me I guess.

Art dump
So yeah, I neglect this blog terribly, don't I? I'll have to get better about that, maybe spruce the place up soon. In the meantime, here are some more pieces I did recently.
Book cover project - I was working on this based on the cover of a book I rather enjoyed called Scar Night. Give it a look some time, the story is very good, if rather on the weird side.
Character design I came up with. Was a ton of fun to do. I was using Greek Gods as inspiration, but in the end the connection to mythology is probably only evident to me. This one was Aphrodite. Eventually I'll have a sci-fi'd version of her up here too.
Also part of the Greek Gods series, this is Poseidon. I only have these two for now but I might continue with the series (yeah, how often have I actually followed through on that promise?) This piece will also eventually have a sci-fi'd version.

ZOMG Update!
Yeah I know, it's crazy. Just a quick update - this was an assignment for my Digital narrative class.
One image of a simple landscape:

And another with some sort of figure added (also some minor touch-ups to the water and colors):
The second version will be in the senior art show at my college along with two earlier works shown on this site - the space station and the green dragon image I'm using for a mailer.

Shnazzy Stationary
New stationary for myself.
Blank version because I don't want to be putting personal information up on the web.
